Part of the area is included within Bidoup-Nui Ba National Park. Here, patches of dense natural forest occur alongside extensive plantations of Pinus kesiya extending from the surrounding lowlands and settlements (3 May 2024).

Within the Pinus kesiya plantations, Quercus and Lyonia ovalifolia form a sparse woodland, providing habitat for Lycaenid butterflies and other insects whose larvae feed on these plants (30 April 2024).
